Welcome to a site dedicated to an interesting hobby, crown caps collecting.
My name is Leonid Kandinsky.
I started collecting beer crown caps in 2001 by putting apart caps from beer I was drinking. After some time my friends came to know about my hobby,
so they started bringing me crown caps or even full beer bottles from their holiday travels and business trips. This was my way of collecting crown caps,
and in 5 years I got about 700 beer caps.
Then in early spring 2006 my way of collecting changed radically, and I started active collectings.
How do I get caps? Generally, the ways are 5:
- By buying beer in the stores and putting apart the caps.
- By requesting caps from breweries or crown caps manufacturing factories.
- By trading with other collectors via internet. You can find a big list of collectors with information about them at the Davide's Crown Caps Database.
- By visiting collectors meetings. I often visit meetings mounthly held by the Club for Collectors of Beer Accessories in Moscow, Russia.
- By bying caps at Ebay or other auctions.
